Pastor Huang was imprisoned twice before, including a 5-month term in a “black jail” where he was housed in undisclosed location and denied any visitation from family, friends or legal representation.

Pastor Huang requests for prayer because he is continually being monitored and randomly summoned for interrogation. Despite the harassment and uncertainty, pastor Huang continued to preach online. However, internet monitors have recently shut down his livestream sermons.

Pray for protection for Pastor Huang and his family and members of his church. Pray that they will continue to draw strength from the Lord to endure the challenges and persevere in their faith. Pray for an anointing of wisdom and discernment as they navigate these challenges.  

Pray that there will be other ways and means for the gospel message to reach those in need of God’s eternal salvation.

About 11 Christians, including youths, in Myammar’s Shan State were detained during a raid at the Kachin Baptist Convention in Lashio on 28th February this year. The Christians were eventually released but they were beaten and traumatised during detention.

Please pray that these Christians will be healed of all physical and emotional scars from the trauma of the arrest and detention. Pray that they will surrender all their fears and anxiety to God and be restored to wholeness.

Pray that peace and stability will be restored to Myammar.

Imran was falsely accused by a neighbour in December 2009 and sentenced to life imprisonment in January 2010. Imran fought the false charges through the court system but was met with multiple delays. During his imprisonment, he lost his parents and his business, and his children’s education and future were also affected.

On 8th December 2020, Imran was finally acquitted of all charges. He was released and reunited with his family on Christmas Day. Imran is currently in hiding as those who are angry with the court’s decision continue to issue threats.

Pray for protection for Imran and his family from any violent reprisals due to his acquittal and release. Pray that God will make a way and provide  for them to re-establish their lives.

Several members of a church in India, including a pastor, were attacked by thugs.

One of the members, Lila Bhai, was 8 months pregnant with her second child at the time of the attack. She was kicked in the stomach, leaving her writhing in pain. Although Lila was taken to the hospital after the attackers left, her unborn boy did not survive the attack.

Pray for Lila’s physical healing as she has to care for her young handicapped daughter. Pray also for Lila and her family’s spiritual and emotional healing from the traumatic event.

Pray that the attackers who are opposed to the gospel will have an opportunity to hear the gospel, repent and receive salvation in Christ.

Sithong Theppavong, the pastor of a small church in the farming area of Savannakhet Province in the Western part of Laos, was arrested without any charge on 15th March 2020.  Before his arrest, he received repeated warnings to cease his ministry.

Nearly a year later, Pastor Sithong’s whereabouts remain unknown.  However, his wife continue to face harassment and her motorcycle was taken from her. And anyone inquiring about Pastor Sithong and his family’s situation were being investigated.

Please uphold Pastor Sithong and his family in prayer.  Pray that new information about his whereabouts will be released, especially to his concerned wife. Pray that his family, friends and church members will receive much needed comfort, hope and peace in the Lord during this time of uncertainty.

Pray that the work of the Lord and Pastor Sithong’s ministry in Savannakhet Province will continue to flourish and be fruitful. Pray that many in Laos will have the opportunity to hear the gospel message and receive salvation in Christ.
