China – Pray for Preacher Dai and his Family

On the morning of 1st November, Dai Zhichao, a preacher of Early Rain Covenant Church and the leader of a small group, was preparing to take a family vacation at another province when he and his wife and two sons were detained.

Over the past one year, Preacher Dai had been summoned and detained on multiple occasions, which resulted in him being unable to participate in activities related to his church. He has also had his home locked and electricity shut off. His family planned a vacation as a way to break away from the constant harassment.

Please pray for Preacher Dai, his wife and two young sons. Pray that God will strengthen them and they will discover that His grace is more than sufficient and all that they need to endure the persecution. Pray that they will find peace in the Lord and remain joyful.

Pray that the gospel of Christ will continue to advance in this nation despite the persecution.

Nepal – Pastor Dies After Contracting COVID-19

Before his passing, Pastor Lomas had been serving the Lord for the past 20 years after coming to Christ. Last year, he distributed Christmas Care packs and supplies to pastors during the first wave of the pandemic. “This is the right time to help people who are in need,” he said. Unfortunately, Pastor Lomas succumbed to complications from the coronavirus infection.

Pray for his family and his church – that they will be well provided for and taken care of. Pray that God will raise up new pastors and ministry leaders to shepherd the church and continue the ministry work that the late Pastor Lomas started.

Pray that churches in Nepal will continue to thrive and flourish despite the COVID-19 pandemic. And through the ministry of the church, many people will hear the gospel message, believe in the Lord and receive salvation.

India – Pray for Two Christian Men Who Were Attacked at the Village Water Pump

A father and his adult son, both Christians, were attacked by villagers while pumping water in their village in Rajasthan state.

One evening, a group of villagers were partying and drinking near the village water pump where the father and son went to get water for their nightly needs. Upon seeing the two Christian men, the villagers yelled at them, “You are Christians and have no right to have water!” And one of the villagers punched the son.

To avoid a possible altercation, both father and son decided to run back home. However, other villagers joined the drunks and attacked the believers’ house with sticks, stones and axes. Fortunately, the family was able to escape with only minor injuries, but their water lines, water tank, pump and bicycles were damaged or stolen.

Pray for protection for this family as they face continual threats from villagers opposed to the gospel. Pray that God will strengthen them, help them to endure the afflictions and remain strong in their faith.

Pray that God will supply and provide for all their needs and replenish all that was destroyed or stolen from them.

Afghanistan – A Dangerous Time for Believers

A front-line worker who spent years living in Afghanistan says it is a dangerous time for believers in the country but God is working in spite of the Taliban advance.

Some believers have already fled the country and some are in hiding. And some have chosen to stay in order to be a light in the nation even though believers are receiving threats and several have been targeted. The majority people group in Afghanistan, the Pashtuns, are an unreached people group who desperately need to hear the gospel.

Pray that God will give Afghan believers the grace and strength to weather the suffering and persecution. Pray that God will use them mightily to advance His Kingdom and further the gospel.

Bangladesh – Pray for Church Facing Ongoing Oppression

Christians from the Bangladesh Tribal Baptist Church in Suandrapara, a village in Southeastern Bangladesh, is being pressurized by villagers to renounce their Christian faith. As a result, most of the 50 members of the Bangladesh Tribal Baptist Church have been forced to stay away from their homes for fear of being attacked.

Their church building had been physically damaged on 2 occasions when members refused to accede to the villagers’ request to demolish their place of worship and renounce their faith. The front gate and cross on the church building were destroyed during the 1st attack whilst a wall, door and the tin roof was destroyed in the 2nd attack.

Pray that God will bestow wisdom upon the pastor and members of the church as they seek to overcome these challenges in a peaceful way. Pray that the Lord will anoint their lips and give them the right words to say to their neighbours who are opposing the gospel so that they will be allowed to openly practice their faith.

Pray that these believers will remain faithful and committed to following the Lord, no matter the cost.
