Imran was falsely accused by a neighbour in December 2009 and sentenced to life imprisonment in January 2010. Imran fought the false charges through the court system but was met with multiple delays. During his imprisonment, he lost his parents and his business, and his children’s education and future were also affected.
On 8th December 2020, Imran was finally acquitted of all charges. He was released and reunited with his family on Christmas Day. Imran is currently in hiding as those who are angry with the court’s decision continue to issue threats.
Pray for protection for Imran and his family from any violent reprisals due to his acquittal and release. Pray that God will make a way and provide for them to re-establish their lives.
