Save The Children Project – Update

It has been 2 and a half years since JJ was martyred because of his faith in Christ. Yet his children, now aged 14, 12 and 10, are still unable to leave their Middle Eastern country to be reunited with their relatives in the United Kingdom (“UK”).

The Court hearing for the children’s application for visas to UK, originally scheduled on April 27th, was adjourned to an unknown future date due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The children have had to endure countless challenges, delays and obstacles in their quest just to be with family, and it is emotionally tiring for everyone involved.

Please pray for their physical, emotional and spiritual well-being as they deal with the many uncertainties and endure further separation from family.

Pray that during this time of waiting, they will not lose hope but will hold fast to their faith in Christ.

Pray that at the next Court Hearing, visas will be granted for the children to leave for UK.

Read about the late JJ’s story in our September-October 2018 issue of our magazine.

Please share this prayer request.

Iraqi Christian Asks for Prayer After Brother’s Murder

An Iraqi Christian’s brother was murdered by family members who were angry that the brother shared sharing the gospel of Christ with an elderly parent who was about to die.

Pray for the Christians in this family that they will remain faithful to God amid these tragic circumstances.

Pray that those family members who are opposing the gospel will discover that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and they will repent and turn to Christ.

China – Worshippers Dragged From House Church

On 3rd May this year, while members of the Xingguang Church in Xiamen city gathered for worship in a residence, men stormed into the residence and forcefully dragged worshippers out of the home, calling it an illegal meeting.

As a result of the scuffle, three Christians were injured and one had to seek medical treatment.

The church has been banned from gathering.

Pray that members of Xingguang Church will find alternative ways to continue encouraging one another and grow in their faith in the Lord.

Pray that those who are opposing the Gospel will themselves encounter the Lord and receive forgiveness and salvation in Christ.

Do share this prayer request.

Indonesia – Family Worship Interrupted By Neighbour

A Christian family was worshipping in their own home when they were rudely interrupted by a neighbour who burst in and told them not to hold a Christian meeting in their house.

The man also warned the family that if they did not stop holding Christian meetings, he would return with a mob.

The family says, “We don’t understand why these men were causing a problem with us, since we were following advice to stay home for social distancing purposes.”

Pray for divine protection over this family. Bless them with peace and joy even in these times of uncertainties.

Pray for believers all over the world who are encountering persecution during this time. Pray that they will be able to worship God and pray without any interference.

Pray for Pastor Sarfaraz Raja

Pastor Sarfaraz is the Associate pastor of Youngsen Memorial Church in the village of Youngsenabad, Punjab.

He was preparing to deliver his sermon on Good Friday on Aril 10th when he was told that his mother and other family members were being harassed in their family home.

Pastor Sarfaraz was subsequently detained, together with his uncle, on the false accusation of illegally making and selling liquor, which they denied doing.

Pray that strong and irrefutable evidence of Pastor Sarfaraz and his uncle’s innocence will be submitted leading to all false allegations or charges against them to be withdrawn.

Pray that the Christians in this village will demonstrate exemplary lives of honesty and grace so that others in the community would be drawn to faith in Christ.
